Ireland West Airport Knock 30 years in Business
Huge weekend in Knock Airport.
On Friday night, Ireland West Airport Knock celebrated 30 years of operation and remembered Monsignor’s Horan’s determination to establish the airport. Stories were told on the night of how Monsignor Horan convinced the Irish government to build an airport in the middle of a disadvantaged, depopulated region in East Mayo, at a time when the country was in dire financial straits. Thirty years on the airport is set to have a record high of almost 750,000 passengers use the airport. And to top of the weekend, the airport welcomed back the victorious Connaught team from the Pro 12 Final early on Sunday morning. This was a fitting tribute not only to those, like Monsignor Horan, that had the vision to establish the airport but also to the winning team of management and staff that work hard to ensure the continued success of IWAK.
Almir Business are delighted to have been part of this journey with IWAK. Since 2007 we have worked with the team at Knock assisting them with their Quality and Health & Safety management systems. In this time we have seen the great strides made by the team and we know they are building on the success of the last 30 years to continue to offer a high quality, a safe, service to the public into the future.
Congratulations to the team in Ireland West Airport Knock and all of our Connaught clients on a great weekend.
